Resurrected Furniture Design at the Brimfield, Massachusetts Antique Show
The Brimfield Antiques Show began in the 1950s and has become one of if not the largest and best-known outdoor antiques show in the country. This show is truly massive, spanning for nearly a half-mile down the highway and hundreds of feet deep with vendors and shoppers alike. With thousands of vendors coming, you can expect to see everything from “yard junk” to some of the most beautiful hand-crafted antiques you’re ever going to see. Brimfield is a very quaint town in New England, founded in 1731, it’s surrounded by apple orchards, horse farms, and lots of wooded hills. During the show, the population rises to over 250,000 visitors and over 5,000 dealers for the 6 days that the show is operating. The show almost has a carnival atmosphere to it, where people of all ages can have fun.
We work hard to bring a lot of our very best pieces of furniture to this show, both to just show off to all of the visitors and hopefully sell to anyone who’s interested! From re-furbished vintage pieces to custom build antiques, we can make truly just about any piece of furniture you may want. We take so much pride in the quality of every single piece that we bring out to the Brimfield show, a piece is never going to leave our shop or make it to our storefront if it’s not absolutely perfect and something we’d be glad to have in our own homes.

When it comes to actually getting what you want, nothing compares to custom furniture. Imagine getting to plan every little detail and function of your furniture! We work directly with you to develop a great plan and then we bring it into reality, with only the highest quality hardwoods and master craftsmanship. So if you're in the market for custom made furniture, we're the place to go. You can trust us to deliver the absolute best in custom furniture for you, be it a vintage piece or something completely modern.
Custom Built Antique Furniture Reproductions
We specialize in building custom pieces of furniture in the same exact styles and methods that the master craftsman of the past used, authenticity is of the utmost importance to us. Vintage pieces are only getting more and more popular, but the price tags that often accompany them turn a lot of people off to the idea instantly. Custom-built furniture is just always the way to go, no stock piece will ever be better than a custom piece you have made. Furniture made on a large scale just has less attention paid to it, and less love put into it. When you’re buying custom made vintage furniture, YOU get to decide on all of the different parts and pieces that are going to go into it so that you can ensure you get the perfect vintage piece that you’re looking for, you don’t have to settle with whatever pieces you can find. The smallest details are far and away what matters the most, we even do our own dovetailing by hand just to ensure we’re 100% period accurate in the way we build our pieces. We want everything to look and feel as authentic as possible.
Custom Built Vintage Furniture
At Resurrected Furniture Design, we’re very passionate about all of the antique and vintage work that we do. Every single piece in our workshop is only built and worked on by the most skilled craftsman and woodworkers, using traditional woodworking methods and tools. We carefully source every single little piece of wood that we use in our shop, we only want to use the best hardwoods in our pieces, no cutting corners here because that just leads to issues down the road. We want your piece to stand strong for future generations to come! Whatever style you’re looking for, from old German to French, we can make your antique dream become a reality. We can accurately reproduce anything from beds, dressers, armoires, sofas, side tables to chairs and tables. Learn more about our furniture restoration and repair services here.
Custom Antique Furniture Staining, Painting and Distressing
Completely re-doing or refinishing a piece isn’t always needed or even your best option, sometimes a simple paint or stain job could be all your vintage furniture needs to get it looking like new again! Having a full on accurate reproduction made is not a cheap endeavor, so if your vintage piece isn’t in too bad of shape re-painting could be the perfect solution for you. We will warn you though, a lot of people will claim that they can do your furniture painting, but that doesn’t always mean quality work. We don’t just do this as a side-job, this is our profession and we take great pride in all of the work that we put out. We mix our own paints and stains to ensure the right color balances and perfect appearance every time, we do our best to leave nothing to chance. Furniture Hardware Installation
It seems insignificant, but it's critical that you have good hardware on all of your furniture, it just makes it that much easier to use every day. Every single time you open a drawer you're trusting the hardware won't fail. Installing hardware sounds simple but it actually takes great attention to detail if you want it to be perfect. We've all dealt with a cabinet that had a sagging door or a drawer that always seems to pull the handle off when it opens, and that's just an annoyance you don't want to put up with. We can help you avoid that for the long-term. Learn more about our new hardware installation here.
If you ever see us out at a show, please feel free to just say hey to us! We can talk antiques and trade stories about our favorites, we may just end up having the piece you’ve been looking for for years! And if not, we can make a period-accurate reproduction of whatever you’re looking for, in the same techniques used back in the day. Want to learn more about our Round Top, Texas Antique Fair?
